Junior 2D Designer (Ignite Programme)
About the role
GPJ UK's Ignite Programme is a paid 1-year programme in a global, fast-paced experience marketing agency. As a Junior 2D Designer, you will step straight into the creative team, reporting directly to a Design Director. You will collaborate closely with a passionate crew of creatives to shape, elevate, and launch bold new concepts across a diverse mix of projects, from exhibition stands and stage sets to digital projections and installations. The programme is open to recent graduates, university placements, and people returning to the workforce, with the possibility of conversion to full-time employment upon completion.
Responsibilities
- Translate creative ideas into stunning 2D visual experiences
- Brainstorm alongside designers, creatives, and strategists
- Infuse your unique creative flair into every task, from quick concepts to major experiential projects
- Receive hands-on mentorship from experienced Design Directors
- Design for exhibition stands, stage sets, digital projections, and installations
- Present and explain design concepts and ideas
Requirements
- Strong technical design skills in visual design and typography
- Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Figma or Sketch are a bonus)
- A creative-thinker and proactive problem solver
- Good knowledge of print and digital design
- Great communication and team-working skills
- An exciting portfolio demonstrating a breadth of ideas and design skills
