Junior Graphic Designer
About the role
Shaka Social is a Glasgow-based social media and content agency working with ambitious brands to create content that connects. As Junior Graphic Designer you will support the creation of social-first creative across a varied mix of clients and brands, working alongside the in-house design team and wider content and account teams. This is a role for someone early in their design career who wants to develop in a collaborative agency environment. A degree isn't essential: your portfolio, ideas and potential matter far more. Responsibilities
- Designing engaging creative for organic and paid social media
- Developing creative within existing client brand guidelines
- Adapting and rolling out approved concepts across formats, placements and channels
- Supporting the development of larger campaigns and creative projects
- Contributing ideas and references during creative development and brainstorms
- Responding to feedback and making amends
- Preparing and exporting final assets to the correct platform specifications
- Taking ownership of day-to-day creative briefs and keeping working files organised
Essential requirements
- A strong portfolio showing good design fundamentals and creative thinking
- A good understanding of typography, layout, colour and visual hierarchy
- Confidence using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator
- An understanding of designing specifically for social and digital platforms
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Able to take feedback on board and apply it to your work
- A collaborative approach and good communication skills

- Previous agency experience
- Experience producing paid social or performance creative

- £25,000–£28,000 depending on experience
- Full-time, 35-hour working week
