Junior Motion Designer

About the role

Project Slingshot is a global nonprofit making disruptive campaigns that capture public attention. As Junior Motion Designer you will create the motion graphics and social-first edits that carry campaigns across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, freeing up senior creatives to focus on larger films. Fully remote within the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Animate typography, graphics and brand assets for campaign and social content
  • Build simple, reusable templates for recurring content
  • Create social-first edits with captions, sound design, transitions and graphics
  • Adapt existing content into multiple formats and aspect ratios
  • Support documentaries, campaign films and larger creative projects

Essential requirements

  • A showreel or portfolio of motion and social-first video work from a placement, internship, freelance, studio or personal projects
  • Comfortable using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
  • Strong eye for graphic design, typography, composition and pacing
  • Proactive and organised, happy sharing ideas in a small team

Nice to have

  • Interest in emerging creative tools such as ElevenLabs, Runway and Midjourney
  • Understanding of sound design, music and voiceover in social content

  • Working closely with a Chief Creative Officer, senior designer and editors
