Junior Designer
About the role
The Fragrance Shop is the UK's leading independent fragrance retailer, showcasing more than 130 fragrance brands in over 220 stores throughout the UK and online. Looking for a Junior Designer to join the team and be part of a growing and vibrant brand. Reporting to the Head of Creative, the Junior Designer will focus on multiple areas of the business from stores and online, through to Scentaddict and MyTFS. This is an exciting role for an aspiring designer to work across different brands in the beauty sector whilst learning multiple design disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Designing print and digital assets across the portfolio of brands
- Artworking and producing final design solutions (logos, banners, packaging, presentation decks)
- Pitching creative ideas for campaigns
- Taking on special design tasks including retouching and art direction
- Bringing fresh ideas to the creative team
- Managing own workload and supporting the wider design team
- Collaborating with team members to launch projects
Requirements
- Proficiency in the full Adobe Creative Suite
- A natural passion for design with a keen eye for detail
- Familiarity with design techniques including typography and artworking
- Understanding of visual elements including layout, type and fonts
- Time management and multitasking abilities
- Creativity skills and a problem-solving aptitude
- Motion Graphics experience preferred but not essential
- An interest in beauty retail is a bonus
- Portfolio required with application
