About the role

Mulberry is looking for a Junior Designer to join its Leather Goods Design team in Kensington. You will support the creation of handbags, small leather goods, jewellery, gifting and lifestyle accessories from concept through to development, reporting to the Senior Leather Goods Designer.

Responsibilities

  • Research seasonal inspiration, materials, colours, trims and market trends
  • Develop concepts through hand sketching, digital renderings and 3D mock-ups
  • Create technical specification sheets for product development
  • Produce Photoshop renderings and visual presentations
  • Build physical 3D mock-ups and prototypes with the development team
  • Maintain organised archives of design files and materials

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong hand drawing and visual communication skills
  • Knowledge of handbag construction and leather goods development
  • Experience creating technical specification sheets
  • A curious, proactive and collaborative approach
